Popular spot for upmarket pub grub. Great sorroundings with knowledgeable serving staff. Missed out on 5 stars as salad served with a lasagne was not at its best and accompanying garlic bread was hard.
A Hidden Gem.....took a leap of faith in booking an overnight stay on a business trip. My double room, small but quaint was the model of a perfect B&B room. It was simple but immaculate with everything you need to have an enjoyable visit. The food was amazing!! I have been to many restaurants in my life and this was something truly equisite. Locally sourced ingredients=YUMMY. I also enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast the next morning. The staff makes you feel like they have known you their whole life. You will not be disappointed.
It has been transformed into the last few years...attractive dining space and relaxing bar. The Bass beer served is outstanding. Well worth a visit.
Absolutely fantastic food. Very good service. If you like your desserts make sure you leave room. The cheese cake is huge! Can't wait to go back.
