Purchased a pair of lamps and asked if they had the appropriate bulbs for them,told yes and purchased them as well,got home and discovered that the bulbs were no good so tried to return them,whereupon I had one of the scariest and humiliating experiences I have ever had,resulting in a refusal of a refund and the loss of 10. !!!!!!!!

What an absolute disgrace never have a experienced what I did today and Im making a FORMAL complaint against the store manager STEVE. DO NOT BUT ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE
An average rating seems a little harsh, given that the staff here are great. But Argos often does not have advertised items in stock. Oh they can order the item in for pick up three days later. But why would I do that when I can order the same thing from Amazon and have it delivered to my house the next day? Oh and their catalogue screens need to be smashed into tiny pieces.Argos need to up their game to compete with Amazon or they wont be around for long. (Although Argos do at least pay their corporation tax so theyre winning there)Saying that, they are FAR FAR better than Currys PC World and they did provide me with excellent advice when buying my Fitbit.
